This washer tub mounting bolt secures the tub assembly to its support points. Replacing worn or missing hardware helps keep the tub aligned and stable through wash and spin, reducing vibration and noise. What it does:
- Anchors the tub assembly to its mounting bracket or frame
- Helps maintain alignment under load and during high-speed spin
- Replace if the bolt is stripped, rounded, rusted, or missing
- Symptoms can include excessive vibration/banging, tub shifting or scraping, and rattling hardware
What's included:
Install notes:
- Disconnect power and water before servicing; wear appropriate PPE
- Support the tub to relieve stress on the mounting points before removal
- Start threads by hand to avoid cross-threading; tighten bolts evenly across all mount points
- Do not overtighten; follow for torque guidance
