I looked up error code 04 in the owners manual and read "the drying damper is not operational". I then went on AppliancePartsPros.com and chatted with an agent online to discuss the problem. I was extremely impressed with how customer-service oriented the agent was (Robin H. was the agent's name), who recommended ordering only the part of the drying damper most likely to be the cause of the problem, thus costing me the least amount of money. After having intermittent issues with Error Code 01 on our Electrolux dishwasher for several years - the dishwasher started having the code on a more frequent basis. In addition, it did not seem to be draining correctly, and the pump was not as quiet as when new.
