Fix was simple. Hardest part was taking off old part and attaching the new part. The drum was in the way but I worked around it. Started by opening dryer top, then unscrewing the timer mechanism in order to create some slack. Removed the wires from the start switch and replaced the old switch with the new one. Reconnected the wires and screwed everything back in place. Simple fix wish I had more strength in my hands. Girl Power!! Read more

Using a utube video that showed the step by step process I was successful (57 year old widow). The only part I struggled with was the screw threading of the plate and being able to hold and reach the screws at the same time. Other than that it just took me time. Bought frigidaire crown dryer (2001) to fix this is unplug dryer (240v) mover out on the head unscrew the timer plate on the left side of timer you will fined the moisture controler unplug the conductor cord (white) and plug in new controler remove old and replace with new put plate back on timer head .
