Instead buying a new dryer I thought, parts where $60, looks easy, why not DiY. Went to their website and ordered the parts. The parts arrived in 2days with normal shipping as advertised! 1hr later she's working and quite, no vibrations as if new! If I had to repair it again, I could easily fix in less than 15 minutes, aside from letting adhesive dry. Paul M Franklin , MA April 18, 2020 Appliance: Model FRIGIDAIRE AE07000ES1 Heating element failure, drum bearing worn, blower gasket replacement, replace belt Just part replacement. Just a few screws to remove to take off top and front panels. Easy to remove drum. More screws to remove and replace heating element. More screws for bearing for drum. Driving screws into drum took some elbow grease, had to be careful not to strip the heads, did on one and replaced with one of the original screws. Replacing gasket simple, although scraping the old adhesive was a chore. Replaced the belt for good measure. As long as the motor holds out, the dryer should be ready for several more years of service. Read More...
