This clip secures the lint screen frame to the dryer housing, keeping the lint filter properly seated during operation. It snaps into place to hold the frame firmly so the lint screen does not shift or rattle. This is a thermistor-style temperature sensor that monitors the evaporator coil temperature in a room air conditioner. It sends temperature readings to the control board so the unit can regulate cooling cycles and prevent the evaporator from freezing over. Replaced thermistor and PC board . Not exactly sure which one fixed it but in guessing the pc board and the thermistor wasnt but $15.00 or something so we decided just to change it too .. And use a small piece of masking tape on small screws removi g the pc board and you wo t have to fight with it so much .
