I removed the meat drawer and shelving unit. I unscrewed the Philips head screws on either side of the shelf brackets. I cleaned the old surfaces and fitted the new plastic hangers in place. This was a 2000 model so rather than just replace the defrost timer which was visibly burnt on the terminals, we just did everything. The cold control, defrost timer, thermostat, defrost heater and the compressor capacitor were all replaced.
