Range display not responding or buttons malfunctioning? This control panel houses the digital display and touch controls. Moderate DIY repair requiring back panel removal to access hidden mounting screws.
I pulled the range away from the wall so I would have access to the screws securing the stainless steel cover. As I proceeded, most of the screws were visible. However, when I tried to remove the cover, it was still fastened and at first, it was not clear to me how to reach those screws. I contacted the helpline for assistance. Size: 8-32t x 0.500 inch. Color: Black.
Went on site, read the reviews to see how difficult it would be or if any problems. Then ordered it And received it the next day!!! The 2 screws were a bit hard to remove. Found the right screwdriver by using the 2 new screws I ordered. Once I got them out, lifted the old panel out. Pushed down on one corner so could get a grip on opposite corner to lift out. Once out, put in new one. Put in new screws and good to go! Will certainly NOT line with foil ever again!!! Read more
