This push-button door switch detects when the appliance door opens and closes, enabling the interior light and informing the control system. Replacing a faulty switch restores normal door-sensing and light operation. What it does:
Lower rack roller assembly for dishwashers. Mounts to the bottom rack to help it glide smoothly. Replace if cracked, broken, or wheels no longer roll.
Support assembly panel for dishwashers. Secures internal components and maintains structural integrity. Replace if cracked, broken, or missing.
Replacing the door gasket first did nothing to fix the problem, but that was a very fast and easy job compared to replacing this inner door liner assembly. There's a rubber gasket along the bottom of this liner piece that is not sold separately. Incredible ripoff! Took out two screws holding the black panel onto the dishwasher, removed the black panel, removed the nuts holding the black handle and used them to attach the stainless handle to the stainless panel, peeled all the protective wrap off the panel, attached it to the dishwasher with the two screws.
