We took off the front door cover and found that the vent had failed some time ago- the flap was frozen open, the motor did not work. We removed the three screws and the vent came of- putting the new one back was just that simple except that I had to remove the protective paper from the adhesive covered gasket around the surface of vent. Replaced control board and that fixed issue! Also replaced vent assembly due to occasional water leak . Old one showed signs where water leaked past the seal. New one had same design so hopefully will perform better Read more

I had to remove all of the components from one unit over to another. Since I cut the back of the dishwashers tub and the upper spray arm tube with a demo tool at the beginning of the project I figured I could fix it.
