Brian K Iowa City , IA February 15, 2020 We were renovating and I. cut the tub and the upper spray arm with a sawzall. I had to remove all of the components from one unit over to another. Since I cut the back of the dishwashers tub and the upper spray arm tube with a demo tool at the beginning of the project I figured I could fix it. In order to replace this, every single component had to be removed from the old unit to the new one, it took about an hour for the work to be completed & fairly simple to do. I took a few minutes before removing everything to note where all the wires go then I started to unplug everything, Once the wires were unplugged I removed the wiring harness along with the door after of course, I removed the springs that help the door open, once the door was removed the bottom rack is removed then the top rack, the top is tricky the plastic caps on the upper rack slide need to be removed in order to take out the upper rack. Now after start to unclip the rest of the components and set aside. With everything out start to prepare the new tub, you do not need to drill any holes everything is done just locate the areas needed for the part and start to reassemble. I had no idea what I was doing but it really was not that hard to fix just took some time. I saved 200 dollars not pitching it, buying a new one was an option and the place I called would have wanted me to but if it can be saved let us save it. I hope this was informative. Read More...
