Aluminum strap secures the defrost heater against the evaporator coil. Replace if broken, cracked, or missing to maintain proper heater contact.
Removed the freezer shelves and back panel, evaporator coils were frozen with ice. Defrosted coil and removed defrost heater connectors, measured no continuity in the heater and ordered a replacement. Also discovered the aluminum retention strap was broken and the heater had slipped down in it's position, ordered and replacement strap. Replacement water inlet tube that connects the water valve to the inline filter. Needed when tube is cracked, leaking, or damaged. Runs along refrigerator back wall.
Ordered water line from nozzle to filter, I removed all the shelves, the cover to the filter and the filter, unscrewed end off of inlet nozzle and pulled other end off of filter, pull old water line out. Ran new one through the rear up into the fridge side plugged that end into the filter, then tucked the line back behind the side sleave. Read more
