Frigidaire 218976901 Water Inlet Tube OEM Part

I replaced the valve that turns the water flow on/off to the door and to the ice maker. It was allowing water to seep internally past it's seals. Replacing the valve solved both problems. Simple job, no more than 10 minutes start to finish..

I watched the provided short video on replacing the water valve - seemed pretty easy. I am a young woman and my husband was impressed that I fixed this all on my own. (I'm impressed at myself!) It really wasn't hard....loosen a few screws, shut off the water supply, re-attach the new piece, and presto...my freezer maker was working again. It took me longer to move my freezer away from the wall and unscrew the pieces to access the back panel than it did to actually fix the problem.

I tried using 1/4" tubing, with compression fittings, and the threaded ends from the defective tubing. It kept leaking around the comp. fittings. I ordered the replacement part, and installed it in about 5 mins. (It took longer to go down stairs and turn off the water supply, and pull out the fridge, than it did to replace the part). This was my first purchase from "AppliancePartsPros". The service was excellent, and the shipping was super fast! I will be doing business here again!

Replaced the valve and ice maker and now everything is fine
