The part or else the dispenser is not well made. The actuator needs to pivot and drop into a slot after seating the opposite end. But the actuator bar hits a rib on the dispenser that keeps your from pushing the bar in with the other end seated. And that is the only way to put it in. I ended up using a dremel and reworking the rib so that it allowed the bar to pass and seat. The part is also very poorly made. The end of the Actuator bar with the switch is not one piece. Watched the video and ordered the part. Took about one hour with minimal issues. I recommend taking a picture of the motor in the assembly frame before replacing. One issue was reconnecting the power cable to ice-maker (narrow space). I solved this by lubricating female end with olive oil. Worked great. PS: turns out the old fan blade was ok - returning. We suspected the old fan motor was seizing up and not running properly. Came to your site and looked up the parts and then watched the installation video. I was fortunate to have found the appliance forum and asked for expert advice on what the problem could be. Jake responded in a very timely manner and suggestions on what the issue could be.
