I replaced the defrost timer, which took about 10 minutes. After replacing the timer, I cleared out some ice that filled up the air passage from the freezer to the fridge (which allows the cold air to pass through from the freezer to the fridge). Defrosted coil and removed defrost heater connectors, measured no continuity in the heater and ordered a replacement.
