Took things apart after watching the videos and saw the ice maker was functional but all corroded or dirty with stuff from water and in watching the video realized the water on the floor was unrelated to the ice maker. I bought the parts to make the repair. Two comments to the videos, the one for the icemaker should show how to get the top basket out of the freezer. I found another video that showed how to do that and was much easier to get to the ice maker and to remove the back panel. ... Read more

This rear roller is a replacement for the rollers in a refrigerator. The rollers are not used often, but they have an important purpose. They make it easier to move the refrigerator from one area to another. If the roller had been damaged and is not working properly, it will be difficult to maneuver the refrigerator. Replacing the damaged roller with a new one before moving the refrigerator a long distance is a good idea. The rollers on the refrigerator are meant to handle a lot of pressure. However, they can still wear down and break eventually. They could also be damaged during a previous move. Before replacing the rear roller, unplug the refrigerator and remove the connection to the water supply. The replacement will require only a few tools, such as a screwdriver. It may require moving other parts of the refrigerator to get access to the rear rollers. The rear roller will work for certain models of refrigerators from Whirlpool, GE, KitchenAid, Inglis, Maytag, Admiral, International, Amana, Jenn-Air, Crosley, and Magic Chef. This is a genuine OEM replacement part that is sold individually.
Removed all the food from the freezer and most from the fridge before starting. Tipped fridge back until I could place a 2 x 4 a couple of inches behind the front rollers. With the front of the fridge now approximately 3 to 4" off the ground you can remove the adjusting bolt and the roller assembly can be pulled out of the brackets. Slide out of the notches where that hold it into the bracket. Same to install. Read more

The plastic piece on the handle where the screw goes in to hold glass door up had broke. I ordered new handle, the retainer pieces that go over the plastic pieces to lock it all in and screws that were suggested. The screws were the wrong ones. They were way too small. I already had one screw and thankfully only had to buy 1 new one because the screw was $40 and shipping’s $10 for it AND it’s on back order right now.
