A local power failure with several on/off cycles apparently fried the control board on my 8 year-old double oven. After the power failure, the oven display was dark, but pressing keys still resulted in beeps and the oven light came on when the door was opened. The lights in the electronic panel went out on our double oven. The start button would beep, but that was it. It came back on for a few minutes every other day or so, but certainly not anything we could rely on. So I found the part online and bought with these guys because they were super helpful over the phone, confirmed the new part would work for my oven model (RBD305PDS14), and had a fantastic return policy. After powering the ovens down for one hour and powering back up, the problem persisted. I removed the control panel and looked for anything obvious such as burned connections or components. After checking the capacitor and a few relays, I decided that since most of the components cannot be checked accurately in-circuit, it was easier to replace the entire control panel. Read more
