I made the problem with I turned on the oven cleaner without removing the metal racks. Dumb move!!!! My bright shiny racks became ugly racks that I lived with until my feeble mind realized that I could order new ones for my old oven. A quick computer order with AppliancePartsPros and then the excitement of a fast delivery.....just outside my door. This mirco switch has normally closed contacts. This means when you press the button the contacts will be open.

Opened oven door with a coat hanger slid between the door and frame. Installed new oven door latch. Read more
I'm no repair expert, but this looked like a really easy job, but it wasn't. It took about 1.5 hours. You have to remove the oven from the wall to do the job. After you remove the back panel it's pretty self explanatory. I had some difficulty getting the back panel to fit properly. Patience and persistence. I suggest taking a photo of the panel before you remove it to help. In the end it's all together and working fine. Read more
