The Refrigerator Door Gasket (Beige) is an OEM replacement part specifically designed for Whirlpool-brand refrigerators. The gasket is responsible for preventing warm air and moisture from entering the refrigerator when doors close. The gasket measures approximately 19 ¼” wide x 62" tall.
Causes of a gasket issue can include cracking and degradation due to repeated compression over many years of use. Sections may lose elasticity and no longer seal tightly.

I took the new seal out of it's packaging and used a blowdryer on low heat to soften up the seal so that the crease from shipping (it was folded to ship) disappeared. Next I took the refrigerator door off, removed the old seal, & cleaned the area where the new seal would be applied. The Spring is an OEM part for Whirlpool refrigerators. It is a small but important internal part that applies pressure to dispense cubed or crushed ice from the refrigerator door. The spring is located within the ice dispenser mechanism and works with a lever to push ice out through the dispenser chute upon activation.
Causes of a bad spring can include wear and tear over time, putting undue pressure on the dispenser by jamming items into the chute, or damage from excessive force applied during dispensing.

The problem was that the motor coupler & shaft had a tiny bit of rust at their union. With the weight of the ice bin it rusted in the lowest position. This didn't allow the motor coupler to float on the shaft. There is a spring inside the shaft that pushes up on the motor coupler keeping it engaged in the ice bin coupler above. Replaced filter cap with new one. The minor challenge was to find a method of pulling the filter out of refrigerator (which is normally done by pulling on the filler cap. The filter was recessed to far into the refrigerator for me to be able attach the new cap. I had to find another tactic to remove the filter.
