John S Lakeville , MN December 27, 2015 I broke the emitter cover installing a new ice maker I ordered the new part, removed the three screws necessary to gain access to the emitter cover hinge pin, removed the plug in wiring harness, removed the hinge pin and broken emitter cover, replaced the emitter cover and reinstalled. Jim K Georgetown , TX February 06, 2016 Appliance: Whirlpool Refrigerator GS6SHEXMQ00 Repled icemaker Went on line and found the icemaker, then watched a video on how to replace it. Ordered the part and installed the ice maker. Only problem I had was the water catch in the replacement was much larger than the original and I had to really work to get the water tube to fit in the over sized catchment. When trying to force the part in, I broke the door on the infrared sensor, had to order that part for the nice folks at Appliance Parts, they helped me find the correct part, ordered it put it in and I am making ice.
