Dishwasher not filling with water? A failed water inlet valve is often the cause. This valve controls water flow during wash and rinse cycles.

Then, when I had the dishwasher pulled out I saw that both cables had simply slipped off of their pulleys and that the door needed to be re-set properly into its drop-down metal studs. Removed kick plate , slowly took my time to diagnose area where intermittent noise coming from sump area. Could feel when the circulation pump was running it was quiet. The Hub is an OEM replacement part for GE dishwashers. It is the central mechanism which attaches to the tub and facilitates rotation of the upper spray arm above dishes.
