French Spring
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WR02X12650

This is a French spring, or French divider door spring. It is used in refrigerators. This part allows the doors to open and close. It is located in the door of the fridge. A new French divider door spring may be needed if the door is stuck or is coming off of its hinges. This repair requires only a standard household toolkit. To replace the spring simply remove the old one and replace the part with a new, working piece. Be sure not to bend the spring while installing it as it will not fit in as the replacement part. This is a genuine OEM part. It is sourced directly from the manufacturer and is sold individually. This specific French Divider Door Spring is compatible with appliances made from General Electric.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Small torsional spring broke on the sealing panel between the two side by side doors   Andrew C. • Williamsville , NY • April 03, 2015

Ordered the spring and plastic liner from Appliance Pro's. No tools were needed to install the spring and liner, but it did take a little patience to get it installed. BTW, I ordered the part from Appliance Pro's in the evening and received it in the mail two days later. They were incredibly fast! They were excellent and one of only two or three places on the internet that carried the correct parts. Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Frig was freezing up around the coils   Steve H. • Moyock , NC • February 10, 2019

Replaced the heater, easy job. Had to cut the old one out based on how it was installed. The new one needed to have the wiring rerouted. Zip tie in place The only issue is it needs the little metal strip that attaches to the heater. I had ordered one, so no problem. There is no hardware included to clamp it on. It is predrilled, so a small screw did the trick. Hopefully this is fixed.. wait and see Read more
