The GE Model G-157 is probably over twenty years old. Local appliance store couldn't find a match, but your site came close and I chose the ordered drain hose by appearance. A minor adjustment to the hose with a two inch galvanized electoral pipe and using a cut-off end with three hose clamps, it works. Ran five loads and its during the six right now. After doing some research, I came to the conclusion that we needed to replace the dryer drum seal. I first tried different things to fix the problem. The problem persisted so I had to figure out what was the real problem. Called sears repairman who told me I had power on to control board but no power out and it would cost me about 700 dollars because they would have to replace that part and they recommend replacing display panel too... i went online to appliance parts pro, ordered the main board for 250.00 unplugged old board, plugged in new board, and it's working perfectly..appliance parts pro saved me 450.00.
