I unplugged the machine from the electric socket and removed the drain hose. I then shut the water valves to the unit. I removed the two screws from the rear sides of the control panel. I gently lifted the control panel and tilted it forward resting it on the lid of the machine to expose the control knobs. I removed the rubber tube and the plastic electric clip plug from the water level switch. This allowed me to twist the switch and lift it away from the panel. Time for the replacement... Read more
I watched the AppliancePro.com video showing how to replace the interface on a washing machine and I applied the similar principals to the repair on the dryer. It took me an hour, mainly because I was not able to figure out how to release the old dial section clips from the front panel. It took two repair attempts to fix the dryer. At first, I noticed that the rear felt seal was completely worn out, so I thought that extra friction between the tub and the rear panel might be causing the motor to have to work too hard and overheat. I found and ordered clips and a door handle from Appliancepartspros.com I found the clips pretty pricy, but they fit perfectly, the door handle was a perfect fit but should have come with the two screws, the price was very reasonable, I saved a $60.00 service fee from an appliance serviceman Read more

We took the bottom piece of the dryer, took out the thermal fuse & heating element saw the heating element was broken so we replaced both of them. Also reversed the dryer door. Read more
Based upon the symptoms, I determined that the User Interface was failing. Caution: Unplug the unit before working on it, and watch for sharp edges inside of the cabinet. To replace the module, I popped the top off the unit by removing the three 1/4" screws on the back edge, and then sliding the top panel backward until it cleared the guides that hold it in place.
