Based upon the symptoms, I determined that the User Interface was failing.
Caution: Unplug the unit before working on it, and watch for sharp edges inside of the cabinet.
To replace the module, I popped the top off the unit by removing the three 1/4" screws on the back edge, and then sliding the top panel backward until it cleared the guides that hold it in place.
