We took the bottom piece of the dryer, took out the thermal fuse & heating element saw the heating element was broken so we replaced both of them. Also reversed the dryer door. Read more

Googled the problem. Found a discussion on the appliancepartspros.com forum pertaining to this issue. Went through a couple of the suggested diagnostic tests. The link to the technical manual was very helpful. Determined that the control board was likely the problem. Very easy to order and I knew that appliancepartspros.com had a return policy in case that didn't fix it. Got the part the day after I ordered it even just with ground shipping. This control board manages the dryer's display panel, buttons, and user settings, translating input into operational commands. Located behind the front control panel, replace it when buttons don't respond, the display malfunctions, or cycle selections don't work properly.
The troubleshooting guide indicated a faulty main control board so we ordered one. That did not fix the problem so I called the Appliance Pros help line. They sent out another board, thinking we could have gotten a defective new board. Still the same symptoms so I sent those 2 boards back for full credit and ordered the "interface" board. The dryer was not responding to changing inputs such as timed dry minutes, signal loudness, etc. We had a main control board short out before on this dryer, and we called someone to fix it. I cost almost $400 for the board, and another $100 for labor. I thought this was another main control board. I replaced it, but it did the same thing.
