I ordered two new baffles and 7 screws. I also ordered 6 large washers. We were running with one baffle held by only 2 of 3 screws. It appears that a repairman in the past had removed the large washers and over time, the screw heads reamed out the hole, causing the baffles to detach and break. In about 15 minutes, I was able to tighten up the existing baffle and add the two new ones. I also added the 6 big washers to help strengthen this to prevent future issues. I no longer have to listen to... Read more
This idler arm, also called a belt tensioner arm, supports the idler pulley that keeps the dryer's drive belt tight so the drum rotates smoothly. Replacing a worn arm helps eliminate noise and belt tracking issues.
After replacing the belt less than a year ago, when it broke again we started to think something may be going on with the idler pulley. Ordered a new belt and pulley wheel, only to have the belt break again the very next day. After a call to customer service explaining the situation, they replaced the belt and pulley wheel which were both under warranty, and suggested replacing the arm itself. We also had to replace the interlock switch. Parts arrived quickly. The repair itself took about an... Read more

This is a small screw, and it is made for dryers, washers, and washer dryer combos. This is a genuine replacement part made by General Electric. Screws are common in these appliances and can cause many difficulties if they become loose, damaged, or missing.A new screw might be needed if there are areas in the appliance that seem off balance or not level. Another way to tell if a new screw is needed is if there are parts in the appliance that are loose or falling off. This is common over many years of normal use as the shaking of washers and dryers can eventually lead to loose screws. Be sure the washer or dryer is completely off before attempting to replace any screws. This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is sold individually and is compatible with washers, dryers, and washer dryer combos made by General Electric.

This genuine replacement part is a user interface board for dryers. The user interface board is the circuit board that responds to the buttons located on the control panel allowing the user to adjust the dryer settings. If the dryer is no longer responding when buttons are being pressed then it might be time to replace the user interface board. Luckily this is a relatively easy repair. To replace the interface board begin by turning off the power to the dryer. Once the power has been shut off move the dryer away from the wall to gain access to the upper back panel. Remove the panel and locate the interface board. Snap it out of its brackets and remove the wire harness attached to the board. Reinsert the wire connector to the new interface and snap the new board assembly back to its original place. This OEM replacement part is sold individually and is compatible with General Electric, Hotpoint, and RCA brand Dryers.
Replacing the board took about two minutes from start to finish after removing the select knob. Extremely easy but costly. Read more

Replaced front dryer drum support and lint trap duct as both were disintegrating with multiple cracks. While not as easy for me as in the videos, as placement required a little more jostling of the parts to place and fit snugly, the videos were amazingly helpful and I would never have accomplished the repair without them. I used a Phillips head and a screwdriver. Great experience dealing with customer service as well, as 2 extra wires were sent with the lint trap assembly which my older model... Read more

Main power board that manages and distributes electrical power to an appliance's control components. Replaces a failed control board to help restore proper power delivery and core electrical functions. What it does
I have a background in electronics repair. I checked the power board and found out there was no 12 volts DC coming out of the unit. The 12 volts powers the various relays. It also goes to the power switch and other switches on the front user interface panel. Using my multi meter there was 110 volts coming in and nothing going out so I decided to replace the power pcb. It arrived within 3 days. I turned off the power and installed it and now my dryer works! My wife is so happy! No more trips to... Read more
