A protective plastic or resin shield that covers the microwave's waveguide or other internal components from food splatter and damage. Located on the interior ceiling or side wall of the microwave, it should be replaced if cracked, burned, melted, or shows signs of arcing damage.
Replaced the canopy (wave guard cover). Pried off the old the old canopy with a screw driver and snapped in the new one. It took all of 5 minutes. Read more
Removed covers on the microwave and the defective magnetron and replaced it with the new one Read more
Broke the receptacle lamp when removing corroded bulb. Removed cover off bottom of microwave to access bulb and receptacle. replaced with new receptacle and bulb. The problem existed only because the bulb was corroded. Read more
