Evaporator coils frozen solid? Defrost thermostat senses coil temperature and triggers the heater to melt frost buildup. Straightforward replacement.
Checked compressor windings - ok. Start relay looked no rattle or burning. Start capacitor seamed ok but hard to check. No 120VC to start relay at any time. Ordered thermistor, and electronic control unit. Figuring it was a bad thermistor not telling the ECU it was warm and to turn on the compressor.
