Took off the freezer door, took off the top hinge on the refrigerator door, replaced the handle, re-installed the top hinge and the freezer door. This is a two person job - one to remove the top hinge and replace the handle, while a second person holds the refrigerator door in place. Replacing the handle was easy. Removed the back cover to access the fan area. Clean the area with brush and vac first. Unplugged the Refrigerator. Used a socket set with 1/4" socket. Had an extended and a standard socket. Removed the condensate plastic drain from the bottom of the refrigerator to have more access to the fan. Unplugged the fan motor. Removed the two screws holding the fan in place. Replacer both gaskets but had to install some sealant to bottom of ff door at liner behind gasket lip. Read more
The refrigerator would fail to restart after running normally for anywhere from a few hours to a day or two. I could manually restart it by turning the theostat off then back on or by pecking the thermostat knob lightly. I ordered a replacement thermostat on Monday morning and received the part the next day. After replacing the thermostat, the refrigerator has worked just fine. Read more
