Oven Control Panel Assembly
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WP8302848

Black control panel assembly that forms the front interface surface for your oven. Replace if cracked, broken, or mounting tabs are damaged or missing.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Control board dim and control panel loose   Mark M. • Omaha , NE • March 27, 2017

I replaced the control board without much difficulty, but found original installer had broken all but one of the plastic screw receptacles embedded in the control panel cover. They had originally super-glued the plastic to the wall! Anyway, ordered the plastic control panel frame and stainless cover (our cover had been dented previously). Installation was easy, just know that after you unscrew the four retaining screws (2 on each side of control panel) you must LIFT the panel up off the... Read more

Oven Door Hinge Left-Hand White
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WP9760572

Replace your oven's left-hand door hinge to restore smooth opening and a proper seal. Fixes doors that won't close, sag, or have weak springs. Confirm fit.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Oven door was difficult to remove and put back on   Steve B. • Greensboro , NC • February 27, 2017

The door hinge latches were bent, which made it difficult to remove the door and re-insert. The door hinge design was changed from a pin insert to a latch from the previous model. Unfortunately, the latch on the 24 inch oven is thin and easily bent, which is likely the source of the problem. I purchased spare door hinges to facilitate re-installing the oven door should I ever have problems with removing and inserting the door again. Read more

Oven Light Transformer
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WP9760588

Oven light won't turn on? This light transformer steps down voltage to power your oven cavity lights. Moderate DIY repair restores illumination.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Double oven would not work correctly/runaway high temp cycle (control board problem) also oven lights would not come on.   David S. • Hartwell , GA • June 19, 2023

Studied schematics and watched many on-line videos. Did some electrical checks with VOM (Volt/Ohm Meter). Determined that control panel thermal fuse attached to back of control panel had opened due to high temp. Determined that the upper oven thermal fuse on back of oven had opened due to high temp. Determined that transformer that supplies power to lights was bad (open primary). Removed control panel circuit board and had it repaired/verified good. Faulty control panel was the reason that oven... Read more

Fuse (Time-Delay)
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WPW10017410

This time-delay fuse protects the appliance's power circuit by opening when current exceeds a safe level while tolerating brief inrush current. Replacing a blown fuse can help restore power once the root cause is corrected. What it does:

  • Protects the line and control circuits from shorts and overloads
  • Time-delay design helps prevent nuisance opening during startup surges
  • When open, the unit will be completely dead—no display, lights, or response
  • Repeatedly opening usually indicates an unresolved electrical fault that needs diagnosis
What's included:
  • 1 time-delay fuse
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power at the breaker before servicing; some appliances can retain dangerous high voltage
  • Replace only with the same type and rating specified by the manufacturer
  • Inspect the fuse holder and wiring for heat damage or loose connections before reassembly
  • If the new fuse opens immediately, stop and diagnose the underlying cause; never bypass or upsize a fuse

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Microwave stated ‘door open’ and would not work.   Margo D. • Tarpley , TX • March 17, 2019

I read up on others with this problem of microwave-wall oven combination Whirlpool Gold. We live in a very rural area and were not able to get ANYONE to service it - had 2 companies come out to inspect but they never returned. I have wonderful news! We replaced the fuse, bus fuse, and light bulb (quit working 2 years ago) and all is working. Thanks for the information and for the part diagram. Couldn't have done it without you. Read more

Microwave High Voltage Capacitor
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WP4375020

Microwave not heating? This high voltage capacitor works with the magnetron and diode to generate heat. Moderate DIY repair with proper safety precautions.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Bad magnetron   Cliff B. • Seattle , WA • May 03, 2021

Replaced the magnetron, capacitor and diode. Symptoms of failure were change in tone/noise put out by the microwave and no heat in the item being microwaved. Could have been a failure of either the diode, capacitor or the magnetron, but I believe it was the magnetron that failed. Replaced all three. The right hand side of the housing needs to be removed to access these parts. Take lots of pictures for reference as it all comes apart, wiring, placement of the various screws, etc. Not an easy... By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WP7103P027-60

This 10-32 terminal block nut fastens wire lugs to the appliance's terminal studs. Replacing a missing, stripped, or corroded nut restores a tight, reliable connection and helps prevent heat damage or intermittent power at the connection.

  • Restores proper clamping force when the original nut is stripped, corroded, or missing
  • Helps address loose/burned terminal connections, heat discoloration, or intermittent power at the block
  • Suitable for terminal block and similar 10-32 stud applications on compatible appliances
What's included: One 10-32 nut Install notes:
  • Disconnect power at the breaker or unplug the appliance before servicing
  • Inspect the terminal block, studs, and wiring for heat damage; replace any damaged components
  • Clean threads and start the nut by hand to avoid cross-threading; tighten firmly without overtightening
  • If the stud turns while tightening, hold it with an appropriate tool to protect the block

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Oven slow to heat and reported temperature did not equal an internal check.   Douglas M. • Perry , FL • September 11, 2022

The oven temperature was low and the heating time excessive. However, the range display showed the requested 400F, even though the oven was really 250F. Because the oven displayed an inaccurate temperature, I ordered an oven sensor, a heating element, and a terminal block. Replacing the heating element fixed the problem. The element I received was the same shape and size, but the supports were not the same. However, I think it must have been a design change after mine was manufactured... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Hinges were broken could not remove oven door   Jonathan R. • Saint Cloud , FL • October 27, 2015

The little flip-over locks on my oven door hinges were bent and broken, preventing me from removing the oven door. It took a little bit of searching to determine that my oven purchased from Ikea was actually built by Whirlpool, and finally what were the correct part numbers for both hinges. Much to the credit of AppliancePartsPros.com, they were the only site that specifically labeled these hinges as Left and Right which helped greatly - even the parts diagrams from Whirlpool were not... Thermostat (Fixed, Thermal Cut-Off)
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WP4375079

This fixed thermostat protects the appliance by opening the circuit when excessive heat is detected. Replacing a failed or weak thermostat restores reliable over-temperature protection and helps prevent heat-related shutdowns.

  • Opens the circuit if the protected area overheats to help prevent damage to components
  • Helps with symptoms like unexpected shutdowns during operation or no power after overheating

  • Helps maintain safe operating temperatures around heat-sensitive parts

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Humming sound and burnt smell   Antonio F. • Miami , FL • June 08, 2018

I measured the resistance between the two connectors on the magnetron: should be close to zero ohms and it was. I measured between the same connectors and the metal case: should be mega ohms, it was 15k ohms. That is a bad, partly shorted unit. I also checked the resistance of the thermal cut off, which should be zero but was 10 ohms so I replaced. The HV diode is checked with a 9 V battery (YouTube checking microwave HV diode) and it too was bad. Make sure to take pictures as you disassemble... Read more
