I originally thought it was just accumulated dirt and sludge in the sump and the lines. I cleaned all that and it was not the cause. Saw this video...took off the filter frame and the piston & nut assembly was definitely broke (cap deteriorated to nothing). Need pliers to break it free as in the video. I had to detach the top edge of the dishwasher from the counter, then remove the toe plate and lower the legs so the dishwasher could slide out from under the cabinet. I ran a washing cycle and observed...and when the spraying part of the cycled started, water started pouring out from under the insulation on top of the machine. This plastic comb-shaped retainer holds the right-hand row of dish-holding tines in place on your dishwasher rack. It keeps the tines properly aligned and prevents them from falling out during wash cycles. Replace this part if tines are loose, falling out, or if the comb is cracked or broken.

NOTE: Can use dishrack WD28X31819 with silverware basket WD28X265.
Purchased a new one. On putting it in place I found that it kept dropping of the track. The frond wheels were 1 cm. closer than those on the original tray. I bent the vertical rods, holding the wheels, outwards and that fixed the problem. One comment ;the new tray has a different layout which we have to get used to. Read more
The most difficult part was disconnecting the water lines and pulling out the dishwasher. Once this was done it took 5 minutes to replace the new assembly. Definitely get the two new screws. Read more
