A cap handle is a feature on refrigerators that allows the user to operate the device easily. The cap handle is located on the lower portion of the door handle. It is a largely cosmetic item, but it is also an access point if the door handle has to be removed. It covers the screws that hold the handle in place.A visual inspection will determine the condition of a cap handle. The replacement of this component is a quick and straightforward process. If there is an existing cap handle, remove it entirely first. Clean the area where the new cap handle will be placed. Align the part in the proper position and apply pressure. Super easy took less than 5 minutes to install all parts! Every part was correct and fit beautifully. I used a razor blade to cut the ends of the water line before placing the union connector, other than that no tools required. Be sure to fill the water filter before install to minimize the air explosion that I experienced, just blew water all over me as I was running the water to clear the line. Swapped it out for new tube. Take 5 minutes and zero effort. The drain tube will clog with mold. You can clean it out but the tube will clog again despite's you best efforts as the tube wall provide a great habitat. Ordered new tubes to facilitate swap-outs. Old tubes can be cleaned but will recolonize quickly. Read more

I replaced the Combined Hmi Asm Cc 20 but that didn't fix it. I'm going to try to defrost the freezer and see if that fixes it. It was very easy to change the control board which I needed to change because it had cracks in every button so I took the chance. Read more
