To access the tub seal, complete disassembly of the washer unit was involved, including removal of the dryer unit on top in order to pull out both tubs. The motor and bearings must also be removed as well from the underside of the outer tub. Read more

I ordered the main control board, watched a video and took a chance that a 62-year-old woman could handle this repair & I was successful! The only glitch was that it had a very small star-shaped screw holding the board to it's the bracket that I couldn't see until I took the whole bracket off which added a little time to the repair but all in all it was a very smooth repair. Super easy. Was quoted $400 for repairs. This is a 30 min job max. The most difficult part was laying on the floor to access everything. All I needed to do was remove the front cover held on by two hinges. I removed the belt using a screwdriver and just pried it loose. The motor itself was held in by two bolts.
