This is a small wax motor actuator used in the detergent dispenser or diverter mechanism of a dishwasher. Ordered a new tube so the flapper valves would be clean and close properly. The old flapper valves had buildup on them and would not divert the water to the upper spinner. The cups would get a soap/food scrap residue that hadn't been cleaned off. Wish I didn't have to buy the entire tube and could just get the flapper valves/assembly separately as the tube was fine, just needed the diverter/flapper valves, but price was pretty good and it arrived in a moderately decent time.
