This is a safety device installed in the gas supply line of a gas dryer that restricts gas flow in the event of a leak or line disconnection. The video was quite helpful with step by step instructions. I ordered a belt and idler pulley before dismantling assuming they were the issues. Belt was easy and fit fine but I did not realize the idler pulley was secured with a special fastener, push on cap nut, that would be damaged if removed. So I left it in place. Original pulley seemed fine so I reassembled the dryer. Restarted and of course the noise remained. I ordered the push on fastener and also the drum bearing as a precaution. ... Read more

Keep your appliance's controls working reliably with this switch cover. It mounts over a switch to hold it in place and shield it from damage, helping ensure consistent actuation and long service life.
I took apart the hood cover and noticed that the cover switch had broken away from the screw. I researched the part on this website and identified the correct part, ordered it, and replaced the part. It was challenging as the angles were awkward when I was working under the hood, but I took my time and only needed a screw driver. First replaced the gas valve solenoids but that wasn't it. After further research, replaced the gas valve. Verified no leaks. No more high pitched buzzing noise. Read more
