Replaced pilot. Removed bottom of baking area by pushing forward on the two clips in the back in order to easily access the pilot. Turned off gas, unscrewed the nut connecting it to the gas line. Pressed up on small spring to slide out the sensor, then removed the screw holding the pilot on. Installed in reverse order. Super easy to do, has been fine so far. Read more

I had a technician evaluate the problem. They charges me 25 dollars for the diagnosis quoted the repair at 240 dollars parts and labor. Very easy fix. Remove oven door by just opening it slightly and pulling up. (an easy way to clean it too). Then, with a phillips screw driver, remove two screws holding the damaged element in place. Slowly pull the element toward the front a couple inched to expose the wires. Disconnect the wires (no tools needed), remove the old element and replace it with the new.
