This is a genuine OEM replacement screw that is to attach the oven door panels to each other. This is a fully threaded screw that fits the predrilled hole to connect the two components. The screw is used with a washer when installed. This screw does not require a nut; it connects directly into the oven part, where it has a built-in receiving nut. If this part becomes worn and breaks or is lost during repairs to the oven, it must be replaced before the oven can be reassembled.Component assembly screws like this one used in oven panels are not normally replaced. These are made of high-temperature steel and designed to last a long time; however, if the oven panels are removed to make repairs, one or more screws may become lost. If this happens, replacement screws must be purchased and installed before the oven can be used. This screw is a silver metal replacement part that is sold individually. It does not come with the washer needed to install it. Verify the number of screws needed before ordering. This screw is designed for use in ovens manufactured by General Electric and Kenmore.
My son-in-law helped me. He pulled the liner open enough that he could see he just had to tighten up the existing screw on the door handle.. For the liner, we put a new screw in each side and tighted it up. At first we were afraid it was in the hole the screw went into but finally got it to screw in tightly. Back in business!!! Read more

I did some research on my own and then spoke with the “Pros” at Appliance Parts Pros. Both confirmed the main board needed to be changed. The other less likely item was the oven sensor. I changed the sensor first as it was inexpensive. The error codes continued. Subsequently, I then changed the main board which was slightly difficult. When changing 2 screws hold the board in place on each front corner only. Also suggest you take a picture of wiring. I replaced wiring in place from old board to... Read more
