We replaced the whole timer/clock unit. After discussing the matter with Robin on Thursday night to ensure we were doing the right thing, we ordered the part Friday afternoon, it arrived Saturday morning, and my husband installed the new timer/clock unit before I got home from lunch. Had a little trouble getting the correct part number, but with the help of Appliance Parts Pros very knowledgeable customer service. The correct part was ordered. Removed two screws to access inside panel of door. These screws also secure the door handle. Removed an additional 4 screws to completely remove the old handle. This small plastic button covers the electrical connection point where the range plugs into the wall outlet, located on the back of the unit. Replace if the button is cracked, missing, or doesn't properly cover the plug connection.
