REPLACE door hinges and door handle (about 30 minutes) 1. Open the door to the first catch. 2. Lift the latch keepers (stoppers) on the hinge. 3. Lift / pull the door away from the oven. 4. set on a flat surface with inside of door up. 5. Remove three screws on the bottom of the door. 6. Remove two screws on the inside towards of the top of the door (gold in color). These are long wood type screws. 7. carefully lift the inner door from the outer door. Remove oven door by unlocking hinges. Place door on flat surface. Remove back side of door. Hinges must be removed in this process, plus bottom three nuts and two upper screws. All screws required “star” bit. Remove five nuts holding glass in place and replace glass. Read more
10 - 32 Nickel plated
I am not a mechanical person at all, however, able to replace the glass on my GE oven by myself. I removed a total of four screws to take off the door and the left and right molding strips. I then placed the new glass down in the bottom slot. Lined everything up and placed the side molding and handle back together with the screws. If I did this by myself, trust me when I say ANYONE can!!! Read more
