GE did away with the original switch and made a poor quality replacement switch with plastic adapters.The adapters break off very easy so had to replace with new switch and plastic adapter. The adapters should be available separately. Very bad design idea on Ge's. part Read more
Appliance Parts Pro' 1" gridded photos of elements helped insure I got the right bake and broil elements for my stove. Super fast shipping was promised in two days and came in one day. The tough part of the repair was getting the rusted sheet metal screws off to remove the old elements. Ordered an oven rack. This was the only vendor I found who had a ‘maybe’ for my 25+-year-old oven. Had to wait several weeks for backorder. The rack fits. I’m very pleased; the wait was a small price to pay. Read more
Replaced the glass. Unfortunately I thought if I bought the OEM kit it would have the 2 pieces of glass, the inner frame and the sealer. It did have the inner frame and although the model number ordered was the same, the inner frame was incorrect. I took it apart and used the original. I could have purchased 1 piece of tempered 1/4 thick "rectangle glass for 1/2 the cost. The job is done, took about 20 mins and we "live and learn" on replacement parts. Read more
