The initial problem was just a simple blockage on the filter screen...until I dropped a screw. So, I had to take the rest of the insides apart to retrieve it. The original impeller would not come off easily, so I tried to pry it off. Naturally, that caused the threaded portion to break. This is a row of fold-down tines located in the front section of the dishwasher rack. The tines fold flat to create more space for larger items or flip up to hold plates, bowls, and other dishes in place during the wash cycle. Replace this part if the tines are bent, broken, or no longer fold and lock properly.
