Even though this part wasn't the exact correct part for my Jenn Air oven JJW9630DDS- this door did the trick. I had to drill 2 holes in the metal door part that holds the glass but the handle and suspension clips fit perfectly. This one has a scoop top where the original had a straight top - so that is noticeable in the repair but barely... also the black part of the glass is not as black as the original but barely noticeable. I first tested and replaced the temperature sensor. Since this is a slide-in range, I managed to pull it out just enough to access the back without disconnecting the downdraft and gas line. My 15 year old son and I examined the new parts and made a plan for how we were going to take the front off of the oven. Turns out it was fairly simple. We removed the knobs, the knob shrouds, two philip screws on the side of the head and about 6, 6mm hex sheet screws. Voila! It came apart. Could not find info anywhere to fix it Pulled out the stove seen a side panel of sorts undid the trim remove side panel switch was right there 15 min tops and everything was working again. The rapid preheat door lock everything. Fix gas smell or burner ignition issues with this range top burner valve. Common repair for leaking gas odor when range is off. Moderate difficulty.
I replaced the Igniter switch, two control valves and one holder/orifice (because I couldn't get the screws out and decided to just replace it rather than re-tape it and get new screws). The one thing I forgot was I have propane and the orifice was for natural gas. Fortunately, I was able to swap out the orifice from the old holder. Read more
