This microwave magnetron thermostat is an authentic OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is used in microwave ovens to prevent fires and extensive damage to the machine if the magnetron overheats. If the thermostat reaches an unsafe temperature, determined by the factory, it will stop the microwave from cooking. If this happens, the magnetron thermostat may be the culprit and should be replaced. A built-in safety feature will prevent the microwave from working until the thermostat is replaced. To start, disconnect the power from the microwave. Use a screwdriver to remove the trim kit. Use a safety drill bit to remove the microwave panels. Locate the thermostat that is connected to the magnetron. To start, disconnect the wires and remove the thermometer from the microwave. Install the new thermostat and connect the wires. Reassemble the microwave and reconnect the power. Test to make sure the power works with the new thermostat installed. This magnetron thermometer is an electrical part that is sold individually. It is designed for use in microwave ovens manufactured by General Electric and Hotpoint.
After making sure the breaker was okay I just opened up the microwave (had to purchase a safety bit for the drill). I found a connector that was burned up. Using the diagram from appliancepartspros.com I ordered a new thermostat and a new fuse (new connector from RadioShack). I got the parts in two days! Replaced everything for less than $35 and it worked! I appreciated the quick shipping!! Read more
GE prepared an estimate to repair the oven indicating parts needed after the oven was removed from the cabinet and performed a diagnostic. We ordered the fuse and Line Filter assembly and I replaced the bad parts with new. The oven is operating properly Read more
This coupler connects two rotating shafts to transfer motor power to the driven assembly, restoring proper rotation and drive function. It's a direct-fit replacement that helps resolve drive interruptions and mechanical noise caused by a failed coupler. What it does:
As the micro switches and door latch mechanisms show signs of wear ( not fully engaging because of that) not knowing exactly which one caused malfunction I replaced all of them. A very tight working area made this job a slow one. Once replaced, I was back to heating up lunch and coffee. Read more
My husband and I purchased the turntable motor through AppliancePartsPros.com, which was a deal compared to other companies. We made the project much more difficult than it had to be. We have a built-in GE Profile Spacemaker, which of course, is built-in, to our cabinetry. We removed the microwave without incident, but we were a bit confused which part of the bottom panel to remove. There was a circular, metal "plate" covering - what we strongly believed was - the motor. However, since this was... Read more

First, please learn how to judge what "Uhhh, Uhhh" means from your wife. Then look over to at what she is apparently looking at to see fire inside one of the microwaves. Walk over, open the door, pick up the on fire newspaper and dump it in the sink. She had placed the folded newspaper up against the emitter. It caught the newspaper on fire and burned a hole through the plastic emitter cover. Besides blackening the inside a bit, it the repair was just replacing the cover. The cover just... Read more

Thank you for sending the correct part. I had to purchase a set of tamper resistant torx wrenches from Home Depot for $10. I removed the cover off of the oven and there was the defective part. I replaced it in about 5 minutes, reassembled and the oven is good to go. Thank you so much. You saved me the cost of a new microwave. If I can fix it, anyone can.....LOL Thanks again ApplicvancePartsPros J.W. Shelton Read more
