Cleaned/ soaked all burners in Ammonia and scraped off the remaining with a pumice stone. Oiled all screws. Replaced (4) ignitors or electrodes and module kit/ right front burner/ burner switch harness. Although this was the third order of switches from 3 different places including the local supplier due to the switches being manufactured upside down and lit on low on the first attempt. The previous owners of my condo were not the cleanest or gentlest of people. The cast iron grates that cover my gas burners were scratched and dented. Huge chunks were missing from them. Replaced the Broil Burner and Oven Igniter. Removed the door (lifts out easily). Moved out oven to access electrical socket and gas line. Unplugged electricity. Shut off gas. Disconnected gas line. Moved out oven to access back panel. Disconnected Igniter clip. Removed the small access plate. Unscrewed holding screws from broil burner and removed the old Burner and Igniter. Put the new burner and Igniter together and reversed the process. So far so good. Was a $70 repair or a $1000 new... Read more
The biggest issue was trying to figure out what I had to do to convert back to NG because most of the literature is about converting to LP. In addition, the original orifices were lost. Luckily Jerry from the Appliance Parts Pros, knows what he is talking about and was extremely helpful. He told me to reverse the directions for NG to LP and even provided me with the manual on a JPG file. He also told me exactly what part numbers I needed to order. The gas jets are not sold as a stand alone part so I ordered two broiler elbows and removed the jets and installed on the stove. Read more
