Changing out the stovetop orifices from natural gas to propane- First thing, turn off the gas. On this model stove, there are five burners-two burners in the front, two in the back and one in the middle. The front two burners are different than the other three, they are the largest burners. I replaced the downdraft fan and fan motor of my 25 year old JennAire C301 cooktop. The issue was getting the fan/motor assembly out in such a tight place. I had to first remove the fan cover, cut the wires, then the assembly came out. Putting back wasn't as tough although getting the cover back on (over the motor) was a bit of a strain. Wired it back, turned it on, and was thrilled. Now I'll replace the knobs and burners and we're back in business. Read more

I have a Jenn Air gas stove converted to propane, and front right burner would not ignite. Visual inspection showed the igniter was skewed off center away from the burner ring. Disassembly revealed significant corrosion on the igniter screw and metal holding tab. The corrosion on the holding tab was enough to cause the igniter to shift and skew. Also, significant corrosion on the holding screws for the upper burner assemblies, which is a major problem for disassembly of the cook top. The... Read more
