Tested the power to the unit by turning on the cooktop portion and saw that I had power to all of the burners. Turned the selector knob to broil and saw that the top element would heat up. The Oven Door Handle is an OEM replacement part for GE electric ranges. As the primary grip point, the oven door handle allows for safe opening and closing of the oven door. I removed the screws on the top edge of the oven door to release the front panel to the back panel. I then removed the screws securing the handle in place. I screwed in the new handle (that I received in less than 24 hours from the time I placed the order, I might add!). Screwed the two panels back together and complete! Read more
Had to remove old glass shards, and reflector tape. Would recommend pliers. I used a utility knife and gloves. Then removed the screws on the top section of outer glass trim. This allowed me to install the metal handle brackets inside and partially behind the trim piece, before securing to new glass. During this time, I did settle the new piece of glass in the bottom track of the outer trim. I also the installed the new heat. reflector tape to the top inside edge of the door. Had to leave some...
