The oven was so loud, it was hard to talk to someone in the kitchen. We replaced the motor and the fan blade. 1. Turn off power to the oven. 2. Remove the oven doors 3. This replacement part is a control board for microwaves and is sold individually. A microwave control board is the main computer of the microwave that controls its main functions. If the microwave display is showing an error code or is not turning on, this could mean that the control board needs to be replaced. Thankfully, this is a fairly simple repair. To replace the control board start by making sure that the circuit breakers to the microwave are off. Then proceed to open the microwave door and unthread the screws securing the front vent. After removing the screws, use a putty knife to pry off the vent. Proceed to unthread the screws holding down the control assembly. Lift the control assembly to detach. Note the individual wires that are attached to the control board and disconnect them. Remove the assembly and unthread the four screws securing the control board. Disconnect the ribbon connector and lift out the old board. Align the new board on the mounting plate and thread the screws to secure. Connect the wires back to the new board in their correct terminals. Reinstall the removed control assembly and front vent. This genuine OEM part is a control board for GE microwaves and is compatible with GE, RCA, and Hotpoint brand microwaves.

The hinges are attached to that inside panel, so the stress points were bent over time. I replaced the inside steel panel. Took about an hour. Was able... Read more
