This metal structure forms the outer border of the oven door, providing mounting points for the glass panels and handle. Located on the front of the oven door, replace it if the door won't close properly, glass is loose, or the frame is warped or cracked.
All of the information on the web repair sites said "replace the hinges as the springs are worn out." Didn't fix the problem. The top of the door still wouldn't seal, and the. Leaning latch wouldn't catch the door unless you pressed on the door. The inside panel of the door was fatigued. Too many turkeys were set on the door over the years. Ordered the part from Applianceparts pros. Prefect fit. Remove the handle and four screw on the bottom holding the glass frame. Put in the new part that came with the bottom frame glued to the glass. When ordering the glass doesn't show the bottom frame glued to the glass but the bottom frame is on the glass. Read more
