Removed loose glass shards. Opened the lower oven door, removed the 4 1/4" hex screws on the bottom of the upper door. Closed the lower oven, opened the upper oven door. I had to take the top panels off and two back panels off. Took off about thirty screws. It was very dirty and dusty inside so I took the lower panels off as well to clean and vacuum it. The hardest part was getting the double oven out of the cabinet. Overall it was very doable. Read more
The Cooling Fan Sensor Board is an OEM component for GE ovens and ranges. It is an electronic module connected to the main control board that monitors internal temperatures. The first attempt was to replace the sensor board on the lower cooling fan motor. That didn’t fix the problem. Next, I replaced the lower cooling fan. The oven is working correctly for now.
