This wire box houses and protects wiring connections inside the appliance, keeping harnesses organized and preventing exposed wires from contacting metal or moving parts. Replacing a damaged box restores a secure location for electrical connections. What it does:
Replacement vent snorkel body for range hoods. Installs as the ductwork component that directs exhaust airflow. Replace if cracked, damaged, or missing.

Took the unit apart, under the counter that it was housed in. Found that the drive arm off of the gear motor had fallen off. I recovered it and re-attached it. However in testing it, I had to run the motor to get the drive in proper position under the retracted hood. It fell off a fixture I had rigged to hold it, and, since it was powered, had the control board short out, destroying it and the membrane swithch on top of the hood. Replaced with new switch assy and Mylar cover. (ensure you have tape or paper-towels around the gap in the sides...dropping a screw stinks... ask me how I know. 1. plug in power to raise blower fan then unplug 2. remove 2 screws on each side(total 4) to remove top trim 3. unscrew switch trim and blower knob 4. unscrew switch assy from vent and remove small ziptie around wires 5. mount blower speed rheostat onto new switch assy 6. ziptie wires to same position 7. mount switch assy 8. install...
